An interesting bit of news from West Garo Hills, Meghalaya. Here the primary shcools are suddenly bursting with students - thanks to RTE. But the high schools are empty because 90% students drop out (and become daily wage earners) after 7th grade. Poeple here want RTE to be extended upto 10th.
